Terms and Conditions

By completing your booking to visit The Poppy Factory’s visitor centre, you agree to accept these terms and conditions.

Prices: All information about prices is correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to change our prices without notice.

Payments: Groups who choose to pay a £75 reservation fee to book a visit slot will be contacted by email six weeks ahead of the booking to confirm the group size. Once this number is confirmed, an email will be sent to the individual responsible for the booking requesting payment in full. The £75 reservation fee is automatically deducted from the final balance. The final balance must be paid no later than three weeks before the visit date. Failure to pay the balance in time will result in the slot being released. Payment must be made through a secure form on our website.

Your booking: On payment of the full amount we will email you a booking confirmation, which will constitute your ticket. Your booking is not confirmed until we have issued your booking confirmation. Your booking permits your group access to the visitor centre only on the date and at the time specified in the booking confirmation.

Group size: Individual groups must be a minimum of 25 people and no more than 50 people.

Types of ticket: Only one ticket type (entry only or entry with tea break) may be booked for all members of your group. Entry with tea break includes one cup of tea or speciality coffee and one serving of cake for each group member.

Changes to bookings: Once you have made a group booking, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to increase the size of your group at a later date, but will seek to facilitate such requests if possible. If, due to your unforeseen circumstances, you need to rearrange the date of your visit, we will do our best to offer an alternative slot within six months of your original booking.

Late arrival: If you arrive after your time slot has finished, we may be unable to allow your group access to the visitor centre and you will be liable for the full cost of the booking, but we may at our discretion re-book you on to the next available time slot.

Cancellation: If you cancel a booking, the admission ticket price and reservation fees are non-refundable. We may at our discretion cancel a booking or curtail a visit and in such circumstances we will offer you the opportunity to re-book on an alternative date and time, or give you a full refund if you are unable to re-book.

Closures: We will use our best endeavours to advise visitors of any early closures or total closures of all or part of the visitor centre.

Refusal of admission: We may refuse admission or restrict access and require any visitor to leave the visitor centre at any time for reasons of health and safety, environmental or security concerns. We may, without refund, refuse entry to, or eject visitors from, the visitor centre, for antisocial behaviour, causing a nuisance or disrupting other visitors’ enjoyment.

Instructions and security: All visitors must comply with instructions and directions given by staff at the visitor centre. Staff may conduct security searches of persons and property to ensure the safety of all visitors and confiscate any item which in the opinion of staff at the visitor centre may cause danger or disruption to other visitors or staff.

Liability: We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense to any visitor, except in respect of death or personal injury resulting from any act or omission on the part of The Poppy Factory.

Data: Personal data provided when individuals make bookings for the visitor centre will be used for the purpose of handling the booking and for purposes connected with the booking and/or their visit (for example, to comply with health and safety obligations or to report an accident).  The Poppy Factory may also be required or permitted by law to use such personal data, or may have a legitimate interest (for example, to share the data with professional advisors or regulators). Should a visitor not comply with these safety measures, we reserve the right to require that visitor to leave the visitor centre in accordance with these terms and conditions. It is the responsibility of the person making a booking to ensure that all visitors within their group are made aware of any health and safety and other requirements that we notify to the person making the booking.
