More veterans will receive specialist support to help them overcome barriers to employment thanks to significant new funding from The Julia Rausing Trust.
The grant-making charity has awarded £300,000 to The Poppy Factory’s Veterans Employment Service as part of its mission to help create a healthy society in the UK and provide opportunities for all.
Starting in July 2026, the funding will enable The Poppy Factory’s Employment Consultants to help at least 200 more veterans make progress towards new civilian jobs and careers over the next three years.
The team will deliver hundreds of one-to-one sessions to help veterans set clear goals, build confidence and motivation and overcome obstacles to employment.
Specialist support with CVs and interview preparation will be provided and veterans will develop their ability to find and apply for suitable jobs in their communities.
Last year, The Poppy Factory’s Veteran and Family Services team helped more than 1,200 people across England and Wales to move forward on the path to employment, with more than 360 jobs started.
