The expert hosts at our visitor centre create a fascinating experience for our visitors. From community outings and school trips to team-building and development sessions for military groups, The Poppy Factory is here for you to discover and explore.

For groups of 25 or more we would be grateful if you could please pay in full at the time of booking. If this is not possible, visit organisers can pay a £75 group reservation fee to hold a time slot for a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 guests.

Once the size of your group is confirmed, you will be invoiced for the payment balance which is due no less than three weeks before your scheduled visit. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you need to rearrange the date of your visit, we will do our best to offer an alternative slot within six months of your booking.

Please choose only one ticket type (entry only or entry with tea break*) for your whole group. *Entry with tea break includes one cup of tea or speciality coffee and one serving of cake for each group member.

Blackwater Valley Wind Quintet at The Poppy Factory

16 September 2022

Blackwater Valley Wind Quintet

Enjoy an eclectic performance by a group of professional wind players in the unique surroundings of The Poppy Factory.

Blackwater Valley Wind Quintet will bring their diverse and well-honed repertoire – ranging from George Gershwin and Scott Joplin to The Beatles and Ralph Vaughan Williams – to our visitor centre in Richmond on the afternoon of September 16.

Book tickets for an intimate concert by the quintet at 12.30pm, followed by a hosted discovery session about The Poppy Factory. Tea, coffee and artisan cakes will be available to buy in the café area on the day.

All proceeds will go towards the charity’s employment service, helping veterans with health conditions across England and Wales to transform their lives.

Blackwater Valley Wind Quintet share a music teaching background in Surrey and Hampshire. As well as playing and performing together regularly, its members perform individually and in many other groups and orchestras. They are Barbara Sykes (Flute), Jane Cleaver (Oboe), Andy Norris (Clarinet), Tim Jones (Horn) and Paula Burton (Bassoon).

By completing your booking, you agree to accept our terms and conditions.

We are also offering a separate group booking slot for our visitor centre at 10.30am on September 16. To reserve this slot for a group of 25+, please email
