Working with PTSD
This Christmas, there are hundreds of veterans suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder, an anxiety condition caused by traumatic events. Even with their wealth of skills and experience, it can be hard for these veterans to find meaningful work and fit into the civilian world. You can help us change a veterans Christmas this year by joining our #WorkingWithPTSD campaign to support wounded, injured and sick veterans back to work.
Mental health is a challenge for 4/5 veterans supported by The Poppy Factory
How much do you know about working with PTSD?
How hard is it to work with PTSD?
The Poppy Factory asked more than 2,000 members of the public how challenging they felt it would be for someone with PTSD to stay in work for 12 months or longer. Take the test to find out how hard it is to work with PTSD and see how your answers compare with our survey results.
Our veteran’s stories
PTSD affects people in very different ways. The Poppy Factory works with each of our veterans to understand their needs, helping them find the right job opportunities in the places they want to work. These ex-Forces men and women are proving every day that PTSD shouldn’t be a barrier to success.
Help more ex-Service men and women have a positive future
The Poppy Factory has already helped more than 1,000 veterans find the right job, and we believe there are 20,000 more who need our help across the UK. By donating today, you can help us reach more of them. A gift of just £20 could help a veteran to have a face-to-face visit with a Poppy Factory Employability Con-sultant, starting them on their journey towards a meaningful career.
