The Poppy Factory’s Working With PTSD test

Many veterans who ask The Poppy Factory for employment support have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

We know firsthand that having a diagnosis shouldn't be a barrier between someone finding, and staying, in a job they love. But more people need to know this too.

Take our test and see how much you know about PTSD.

1) Have you ever worked with someone who has a mental health condition?
2) Which, if any, of the following do you think are important for someone who suffers with a mental health condition to have/be able to do during Christmas time? (Please tick any relevant answers below).
3. Which ONE, if any, of the following statements BEST applies to you?
4) Read the below explanation of PTSD. How difficult do you think it is for someone living with PTSD to stay working in any type of paid work for an extended period of time (e.g. 12 months)?

PTSD is an ongoing anxiety disorder caused by stressful, frightening or distressing events. Someone with PTSD often relives events through nightmares and flashbacks, and may experience feelings of isolation, irritability and guilt. They may also have problems sleeping, such as insomnia, and find concentrating difficult.
