Stay connected with our virtual Quiz for 100 Lives

Many of us are working from home and missing having a place of work to go to, colleagues to speak to face to face and a structure to our day.

We figured one way to keep ourselves connected through lockdown is by holding a virtual quiz.

You can hold your quiz over any video call platform, with as many people as you choose.

Stay connected and change lives

With the help of your fundraising we can provide the 1:1 support needed for 100 more veterans to find the right jobs, close to home.

A job that gives them back their independence, their dignity and in many cases helps to improve their health and wellbeing.

Let's get started!

HSBC team’s quiz night raises over £1,200 to change veterans’ lives

After taking part in one of our popular corporate team-building days, HSBC’s London Premier Distribution Team were motivated to join our mission to create positive futures for ex-Forces men and women, and set their quiz-heads to work.

A group of 32 competitive colleagues gathered and each gave £10 to take part. HSBC’s quiz master Paul Cook delivered an entertaining seven rounds of questions that kept the quizzers on their toes.

The team also boosted their own fundraising efforts throughout the evening with a raffle.

Funds raised on the night were doubled through HSBC’s generous £4£ matched-giving scheme, resulting in an incredible total of £1271.90.

Christopher Rose, Senior Relationship Manager at HSBC, said:

“The work The Poppy Factory does to transform veterans’ lives is so important. The team building day at The Poppy Factory was an amazing and rewarding experience and afterwards my team were really keen to do more to support the charity. Hosting the quiz was an easy way to make a difference as well as a great opportunity to get together and have some fun.”

Alice Barrett, Partnerships Manager, at The Poppy Factory said:

“We’re thrilled to have the support from Chris and the team at HSBC and delighted with the funds raised through their event.  We are also hugely grateful for their help with creating our 100 Lives quiz pack. It’s a terrific tool that will help others get behind our mission, have fun and help change 100 more veterans’ lives.”
