The Poppy Factory’s Board of Trustees plays a vital role in overseeing our work as a charity and helping to shape and guide our strategy.
On November 5th we saw a changing of the guard with Major General Andrew Sharpe stepping down after two years’ service as Chairman and six more as a Trustee. Also leaving the board after eight years’ service is fellow Trustee and Vice Chairman, Andrew Truscott. We are greatly indebted to both Andrews for their passion, drive and good stewardship.
We welcome Alistair Kett as our new Chair and Cliff Dare as Vice Chair. Alistair is a Partner with PwC, an organisation that delivers transformational change across the globe. Al is also a former Army Officer and a long-term resident of Richmond-upon-Thames, where the Poppy has been based since 1925. Cliff combines successful careers in both the Royal Marines and in chartered surveying and consultancy.
We are extremely privileged to be able to draw on their combined experience and expertise and the contribution of all of our Trustees, as we work to support veterans with health challenges on their journey into employment.
