Deirdre Mills, Chief Executive of The Poppy Factory

A message from our CEO, Deirdre Mills:

As many of you will know, I am moving on from The Poppy Factory to take up the helm at Greenwich Hospital.  Greenwich Hospital is a unique crown body charged with providing support to serving and retired members of the Royal Navy and their families.  It does so through the provision of grants to organisations such as The Poppy Factory, through awards to ships and units and through the provision of sheltered housing and educational bursaries.

In my place, I am truly delighted to introduce Amanda Shepard as The Poppy Factory’s interim Chief Executive.  Amanda is currently The Poppy Factory’s Director of Fundraising and Communications and will take up her new appointment with effect from 1 February 2023.  Many of you know will already know Amanda from her work securing funding from and engaging with the military charity sector.  The Poppy Factory is in great shape and will be in very good hands and will continue, as always, to deliver an outstanding employment support service to veterans with health conditions, as well as fulfilling the wreath order for The Royal British Legion through our production facility in Richmond.
