The Poppy Factory is as valuable to the ex-Forces community today as it has been for 100 years – as highlighted in a feature this week on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.
The producers brought a crew to our factory in Richmond-upon-Thames while filming a roadshow at nearby Ham House. They captured the continued hard work of our production team in our centenary year and showcased some of the stories that have been brought to life in our new visitor centre.
RAF veteran Steve, a member of our production team, went to meet presenter Fiona Bruce in the Ham House garden, where he opened up about the difference our charity has made to him and hundreds of other veterans across England and Wales.
Steve told Fiona: “The Poppy Factory has really given me a purpose in life to move forward. It’s a really good team to work with and everyone is really supportive. We do so much good work, not just at the factory, but around the country as well.”
