11 Elevens Remembrance Challenge raises over £20k

Grace Andrews General

A group of dedicated military supporters have raised over £20,000 in support of The Poppy Factory and The Forces Children Trust.

The 11 Elevens Remembrance challenge team ran 11km each day for the first 11 days of November to help The Poppy Factory support wounded, injured and sick veterans back into employment.

The team from EY consultancy firm set off to raise £11,000 but ended up raising more than twice that, to be split between us and The Forces Children Trust.

Visit the team’s fundraising page here.

Here’s what the team have to say about their challenge:

It’s been a hugely positive experience to have been doing it with such a great, positive team of 31 people – when I came up with the idea, I expected it to be just me plodding around Kent on chilly November mornings.  The humour and commitment of all involved was fantastic. – Hamish, EY Team
