Dennis Williams was among the first generation to be born at The Poppy Factory. His father, Fred "Bill" Williams, was the first factory foreman and was instrumental in establishing operations. After his death, Dennis's mother Mabel remarried within the community and ran social events at the Remembrance Club. Here, Dennis recalls his early experiences, while returning to The Poppy Factory for the first time in more than 60 years.
