MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
This post is open for disabled ex-services only.
Full-time role for one year initially, potential scope for renewal,
based 3 days a week in Gloucester and 2 days a week in Stroud.

The post will entail working in support of both The Waterways Museum at Gloucester, and the Cotswold Canals Partnership in Stroud.
Duties to include delivery of marketing strategies, updating websites and other communications materials, drafting and distribution of press releases and newsletters, liaising with a range of partners and stakeholders to identify suitable stories for wider communication, assisting with the production of materials for events and helping set up and run events.
Excellent English and IT skills essential no previous marketing experience required. Salary: £15,000pa

VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Based Stroud, Gloucestershire.

£16,830 pro rata per annum 25 hours per week 12 month placement opportunity.

Your chance to join the Cotswold Canals Project. Help us restore part of a historic canal which once joined England’s two greatest rivers – the Thames and the Severn. Working alongside the Volunteer Manager, you will help recruit, train and manage volunteers, making sure that their skills are used to best effect. You will also work with schools and other organisations to involve them in this Heritage Lottery funded project. You will develop skills in, and knowledge of, working in a multi-disciplinary team, health and safety, the office environment, administration, training delivery and volunteer management. The project has to be delivered on time and on budget, so you need to be able to learn quickly and demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to get the job done! The Council offices are located on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment in converted former woollen mill close to the canal and within a couple of miles of the centre of Stroud.

I expect that OTE will easily be £25K (basic £12K) and there is no cap. The hours are flexible although I would expect a willingness to work 2 or 3 late evenings a week and the occasional Saturday. Grange Park School is a small secondary special school for pupils with Statements of Special Educational Needs and autism spectrum conditions. We are currently located in Leybourne near West Malling, but will be moving to a new purpose built site in Wrotham from September 2010. We are looking to employ staff to work in the kitchen and on the school’s farm. The candidates will not only have to be competent in catering and horticulture but also able to work with our pupils and pass on their enthusiasm and expertise. The EX SERVICES SKILLS TRAINING and ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION(eSSTAA)is seeking a competent and enthusiastic individual to help it establish. This newly formed charitable organisation is to enable its member organisations make available specialist rehabilitation services safely to ex-servicemen. The successful applicant will be able to work alone as well as within a team, be self motivating, solution orientated, encouraging, a good communicator, and assisting in linking e SSTAA with the national coordination of charities supporting the Healthy Serviceman Lifecycle.
