John

Ex RAF
Medical Trainer
Wolverest Group Ltd., Wiltshire

John served for a total of 26 years with the RAF and finished his Service as a Sergeant medic. He had an extremely varied career, serving in the Falklands and Northern Ireland 4 times and Germany twice.

Early in his career he had a bad accident whilst training and hurt his back. After suffering a heart attack in 2002, and formerly diagnosed with diabetes and arthritis soon after, John was finally discharged in 2005.

In 2011, John spotted an advert for a part-time medical trainer at the Wolverest Group. He applied straight away, and being an ex-Serviceman himself the  two hit it off straight away.

He is really pleased to have this opportunity and will be supported by The Poppy Factory for the first 12 months.

"This is a great opportunity for me.  It's not about the money, it's about getting off my backside and having something useful to do"
